Selling your services
Create a service, receive paid orders, deliver files, handle revisions and get paid when the buyer completes the order.
Creating a service
- 1 Open Manage services and choose Add service.
- 2 Pick the type: a standard service (done in person, needs a location) or a digital service (delivered remotely; it can have up to three packages).
- 3 Write a clear title and description: what you do, what the buyer receives and what you need from them.
- 4 Set the price, delivery time in days and the number of included revisions. For packages, set these for each package.
- 5 Add good images and publish. You can edit the service at any time from My services.
Tips
- Be specific about what is and is not included. Clear expectations prevent extra revisions and disputes.
- Start with a competitive price and raise it as you collect good reviews.
Receiving orders
When a buyer pays, the order starts immediately: you get a notification in the bell and by email, and the delivery deadline starts counting from the payment. There is no separate step to accept an order, so keep your services up to date and only offer what you can deliver on time.
If you cannot take new work for a while, switch off accepting new orders in your settings. Buyers will then see a notice instead of the order button. Your existing orders are not affected.
Delivering the work
Open the order in Manage services, My orders, on the Selling tab, and deliver it with a message and your files. You can attach zip, pdf, jpg, png, doc, docx, xls and xlsx files up to 50 MB each. The order becomes Delivered and the buyer is notified.
Deliver before the deadline. If an order is still in process when the deadline passes and the buyer has not extended it, it becomes Overdue and the payment goes back to the buyer automatically.
Revisions
After a delivery the buyer can ask for changes as many times as your service or package allows. You see the request with its message and files; deliver the updated version the same way as the first one.
Getting paid
The payment is held by Workizon while you work. When the buyer presses Finish order, it is released to your balance minus the platform fee. Paid additional charges on the order are released at the same time. You can see the fee and the amount you receive in the order details.
From your balance you can withdraw money with the payout methods available for your account. See Balance and payments for details.
Cancelling an order
If you cannot complete an order, cancel it with a short explanation. The buyer receives a full refund, including any paid additional charges, and is notified. Cancelled orders do not count as completed work.
