Job Description



Our client is seeking an experienced EMEA Payroll Practitioner to join their international payroll function, based out of Frankfurt, Germany. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across several European countries, with a primary focus on Germany, Austria, and France.

Description

  • Manage monthly payroll cycles for employees in Germany, Austria, and France, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain Workday HRIS data integrity for hires, terminations, salary updates, and job changes.
  • Process bonuses, deductions, non-cash benefits, and holiday pay.
  • Act as first-line support for payroll queries via the internal ticketing system.
  • Process public and private health insurance documentation and ensure correct coding and deductions.
  • Collaborate with payroll providers, HR teams, and local experts to ensure compliance with relevant laws and CBAs.
  • Prepare general ledger files, contribute to payroll account reconciliations, and ensure timely tax and pension submissions.
  • Support system updates, configuration changes, and payroll platform migrations.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and confidentiality

Profile


  • Fluent in German and confident in English (written and verbal).
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in German OR French payroll.
  • International Payroll preferred
  • Strong understanding of EMEA tax and wage laws, including benefits-in-kind and shadow payroll.
  • Skilled with Workday, DATEV, and Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
  • Organised, analytical, and capable of handling a high-volume, multi-country payroll portfolio.
