Summer Audit Intern

Salary – £13.45 per hour

Hours - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Holiday – 31 days annual leave pro rata

About the Summer Audit Intern role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern to join our External Audit Team (start date 25 May 2026 for an initial period of 4 weeks, with an option for up-to an additional 10 weeks)!

As an Audit Intern you will gain hands-on experience in the auditing industry with one of the oldest Independent Accounting Firms in Scotland! You’ll have opportunities to network with professionals at TC Alexander Sloan and gain exposure to real-life business scenarios and client interactions. As well as the potential opportunity to be offered full-time employment for our ACCA 2027 intake.

Key responsibilities of a Summer Audit Intern will include:

• Support the audit team in executing audit procedures
• Assist with financial statement preparation and review
• Conduct research and analysis of financial data
• Participate in client meetings and discussions
• Learn about the latest auditing techniques and methodologies by TC Alexander Sloan

About you

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• In your penultimate year studying an accounting or finance degree
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Based in Glasgow or within commuting distance to our Glasgow office – role is based onsite
