Senior Category Manager Home Entertainment

Quest Search & Selection are currently looking for a Senior Category Manager within Home Entertainment. Here you will be responsible to lead the category, delivering top-quality products at competitive prices for consumers. You'll develop supplier relationships, shape category strategy, and drive growth in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

The business is working with a global ecommerce retail platforms that has operations in the UK & Europe & that are currently growing their FMCG category team! The roles and responsibilities of this Senior Category Manager Home Entertainment role:

1. Lead the buying and sales activity for the Home Entertainment category. This category will include TV, sound bars, smart home products, Audio, speakers etc.
2. Business development with brands and suppliers, bringing the leading brands on board.
3. Analyse key metrics and identify sourcing gaps to derive strategies on how to improve supplier and category performance.
4. Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
5. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, including pricing structures and promotional campaigns.
6. Negotiate pricing and cost efficiencies, validate fees, and ensure accurate data maintenance.
7. Curate and select category-specific products that align with consumer demand and usage scenarios.
8. Collaborate with international supply chain teams to secure necessary resources and support.
9. Analyse sales and procurement data to identify trends, propose improvements, and enhance gross profit margins.

Qualifications required for this Senior Category Manager Home Entertainment role:

1. 3 -8+ year experience within buying /category management, ideally operating at a senior or manager level.
2. Expensive category, Merchandising or Buying experience within Home Entertainment category as mentioned above.
3. Deep understanding of consumers, with strong market insights and proven purchasing expertise.
4. You must come from a retail, eCommerce or Marketplace background with strong knowledge of the German market within this category
5. Exceptional analytical abilities, data sensitivity, and logical thinking.
6. Effective communicator with a passion for continuous learning.
7. Highly driven, innovative, team-oriented, and committed to aligning personal contributions with organisational goals.
