Job description

Senior Analog IC Layout Engineer

Location: Braunschweig, Germany

Employment: Permanent (up to 2 days remote per week after initial period)

About the Company

Join a global leader in optical networking with ~9,000 employees worldwide, driving the next generation of cloud, AI, and high-speed connectivity. As part of an ambitious growth plan, their German design center in Lower Saxony is expanding its Analog IC Layout team.

The Role

We are looking for talented Analog IC Layout Engineers to work on the analog front-end of digital signal processors for coherent optical transceivers (TRx). This is cutting-edge work at extreme speeds, designing ADCs, DACs, and PLLs for products achieving up to 1.6 Tb/s, using TSMC 7nm, 5nm, and 3nm FinFET technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform full-custom analog/mixed-signal IC layout for high-speed DACs, ADCs, PLLs, and other frontend blocks.
  • Collaborate closely with circuit designers, verification engineers, and system teams to optimize performance, area, and reliability.
  • Contribute to tape-out preparation, design rule compliance, and post-layout validation.
  • Support advanced technology node adoption and layout methodology improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2–8 years’ experience in IC Layout design, preferably in high-speed analog/mixed-signal applications.
  • Strong experience with advanced CMOS nodes (TSMC 7nm, 5nm, or 3nm FinFET preferred).
  • Track record in high-speed blocks such as ADCs, DACs, PLLs, or similar.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Must be eligible to work in Germany (EU citizen, Blue Card, or other unrestricted work permit).

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary + bonus + RSU*
  • Opportunity to work on extreme-speed optical communication technology at the forefront of the industry.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment with career growth opportunities.

If you are passionate about high-speed analog IC layout and want to contribute to next-generation optical networking, we would love to hear from you.
