Are you a caring, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children's emotional wellbeing and development? Academics is a dedicated education recruitment agency currently seeking a committed and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support pupils within nurture group settings across primary schools in Newport.
This is a highly rewarding role where you will be working with small groups of children who may need additional support with social, emotional, and behavioural development. You will help create a safe and supportive environment where pupils can build confidence, develop positive relationships, and re-engage with learning.

Who We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children in an educational or childcare setting (desirable)
* Understanding of emotional wellbeing, behaviour support, or pastoral care
* Confidence in building positive relationships with pupils who may need additional support
* A calm, patient and consistent approach in the classroom
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Two recent professional references
* A genuine commitment to supporting children's personal and emotional development
